Alleged hoon caught on touch fields

A Bargara teen is due in court, charged with wilfully make unnecessary noise or smoke, trespassing, defective vehicle and wilful damage.

It’s alleged the 18-year-old was driving a vehicle that was spotted driving recklessly around 10pm March 23.

Members of the public alerted police to the hooning activity and due to the timely report, police were able to attend the Bundy Touch Fields and locate the offender.

It’s alleged he was doing burnouts that caused “significant damage”.

The teen’s registration plates were also seized by police for a period of 90 days.

Bundaberg Police are reminding motorists that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated and that they will continue to impound vehicles and seize registration plates of any vehicles involved in these types of offences.

“If you drive within the law, you won’t be affected. Go too far, you can lose your car,” a QPS spokesperson says.
