A man and baby girl have been flown from K’gari (Fraser Island) after they were stung by what are believed to be Irukandji jellyfish.
The man, in his 20s, was swimming on the western side of the Island around 1pm Monday and suffered an allergic reaction to the sting.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew flew him to Hervey Bay Hospital.

About two hours later crews returned to the same side of K’gari, this time treating an infant.
She was also flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition and was accompanied by a parent.
It was the third time in just two days that the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a patient from K’gari with a marine sting after another girl was flown to hospital on Sunday.
