Last weekend, my children Kai and Alizienne (Izzie) and I embarked on the unforgettable Lady Musgrave Experience, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share our amazing adventure with you!

The Boat Trip

Our day began with a scenic boat trip to Lady Musgrave Island. The crew welcomed us warmly, and we settled in for the ride with a delightful morning tea. The ham and cheese rolls were fresh and delicious, and the fruit was a perfect start to the day. As we cruised through the turquoise waters, we couldn’t help but feel excited about the adventures ahead.

Island Tour and Snorkeling Briefing

Upon arrival, we were grouped into the “Dolphin Group” for our activities. After a quick and informative snorkeling briefing, we set off for a fascinating tour of Lady Musgrave Island. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights about the island’s bird and turtle populations and its rare plant species, including some very unique trees. It was both educational and awe-inspiring to learn about the island’s rich ecosystem.

Glass Bottom Boat Tour

Next up was the glass bottom boat tour, which allowed us to see the stunning coral reefs up close. The vibrant colors and diverse marine life were truly mesmerizing. We were lucky enough to spot several turtles gracefully swimming by, much to the delight of everyone on board.

Snorkeling Adventure

Kai was absolutely thrilled to get into the water for snorkeling. Although it was a bit deep for Izzie and me, we still enjoyed the beautiful view and stayed close to the boat, feeling safe and secure. The underwater world was a spectacle, teeming with colorful fish and intricate coral formations. He used the camera case we bought on the boat to take pictures underwater too!

Delicious Lunch

After our snorkeling adventure, we returned to the boat for a fantastic lunch. The prawns were the highlight – incredibly fresh and flavorful. The entire meal was delicious and satisfying, providing the perfect refuel after a morning full of activities.
