From Mount Isa to Mooloolaba: Making a Difference Across Queensland!

Attention, Bundy! If you’re part of a not-for-profit organization and you’ve got a big idea that needs funding, Queensland Country Bank’s 2024 Good for Good Community Grants program is here to help! Applications are now open, but don’t wait too long—the deadline is 5 pm on Monday, September 2!

Since 2005, the Good for Good Community Grants program has been putting its money where its mouth is, injecting a whopping $2.8 million back into regional Queensland. That’s right, from Mount Isa to Mooloolaba, Brisbane to Birdsville, this incredible program is all about helping local communities thrive. Whether you need $5,000 or $30,000, these grants are designed to fund projects that make a practical difference in the lives of Queenslanders.

Queensland Country Bank’s CEO, Aaron Newman, puts it best: “Our Good for Good Community Grants are all about using profits made from our banking business to invest back into community groups across Queensland. In turn, those groups can complete projects that benefit the lives of people in Queensland. It’s good for good.”

Last year alone, 12 amazing community groups across Queensland—from Cairns to Ipswich—shared in a total of $144,738 to bring their community projects to life. For example, Queensland Youth Services in Mount Isa received $28,390 to build a ‘Youth Shed,’ a space for young people to learn skills, engage in cultural activities, and build self-esteem. A little like a men’s shed, but with a youthful twist!

If your organization has a project that could use some funding love, make sure you apply. It’s a fantastic opportunity, especially in times when the cost of living is high and every dollar counts.
