A 19-year-old accused of running over a police officer remains in custody.
It’s alleged just before 4pm Sunday, November 17, police were conducting checks on an abandoned stolen vehicle near Cullen Street in Walkervale before a silver Subaru Forester drove by.
The Subaru allegedly drove at one of the police officers after he attempted to intercept the vehicle.
The officer sustained minor chest and foot injuries from the crash and was transported to the Bundaberg Base Hospital where he has since been discharged.
The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Branyan woman, has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash, and possession of possession of drug utensil.
She was denied bail in the Bundaberg Magistrates court on Monday and the case has been adjourned until December.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 16-year-old Kalkie boy, has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company and wilful damage.
Investigations remain ongoing.
