Reports of Suspicious Packages

Police are investigating reports of multiple containers of a suspicious substance being found washed up on the Bundaberg coastline.

Officers were spotted patrolling Bargara on Tuesday afternoon with a helicopter also brought in for an aerial search. 

“There is no threat to the community,” a Queensland Police Service spokesperson says.

“Anyone who comes across a suspicious package is urged to contact Policelink immediately on 131 444.”

There has been no confirmation of what is inside the containers.
