Certain offences appear to be on the rise with a number of crimes reaching 12 month highs last month.
Queensland Police data shows 702 offences were committed in the Bundaberg Police Division in September.
The figure is a slight decline compared to August’s 742, but individual crimes are picking up.
Assaults increased almost 10 per cent over the month.
Meantime monthly thefts have peaked for the year with 149 recorded, up 12 per cent on August.
Unlawful use of a motor vehicle has also reached its highest level of 2022.
In some more positive news, drug offences are down 34 per cent.
